2020 felt like a 12-month-long endurance test during which anything that could go wrong did go wrong. However, it also was a year that saw the ready mixed concrete industry embracing innovations to meet unprecedented challenges. Within weeks of the coronavirus pandemic taking hold of the country in March 2020, Geiger Ready-Mix Co. of Kansas City, Kansas, made a swift decision to proactively protect employees and customers from COVID-19. 

The producer worked with BCMI to implement touchless ticketing to minimize contact between drivers and contractors at job sites. Customers have largely embraced the changes.
