Drivers for BCMI customer Consumers Concrete recently showcased their skills at the producer’s Third Annual Mixer Truck Rodeo competition on May 3 at their new concrete products plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan. About 15 drivers competed and a few plant managers joined (although just for bragging rights). The competition included three parts: Driver Written Exam, Driver Walk Around and Visual Vehicle Inspection, and Driving Skills and Ability Course. The top three drivers will go on to represent Consumers Concrete on the state level on May 17 in Lansing, Michigan, at the Michigan Concrete Association’s Driver Competition. Winners of the state competition will go on to compete at the NRMCA National Competition.

Congrats to Tim Clay of the Byron Center who took home first place! Runners-up included second place, Chris Henke of the Holland Plant; third place, Mason Dolfman of the Kalamazoo Plant; and fourth place, Arron Sterling of the Holland Plant.
